EARLY CARE & EDUCATION MASTER TEACHER

This career major prepares students to be licensed teachers in the early care and education facilities responsible for general supervision, development, and education of children. In addition to learning how to attend to children’s basic needs, students learn to organize activities that stimulate a child’s physical, emotional, intellectual, social and creative growth. Instruction occurs in the classroom and laboratory as well as supervised practicum experience. Successful completion of Master Teacher curriculum with three months full-time experience meets the Licensing and Stars criteria of Oklahoma for Master Teacher. Embedded within this course is Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider CPR training and credentialing. All students will complete CPR training.
